FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the cost?

Melbourne Victory’s Holiday Program is funded by the Department of Education which allows secondary school students to engage with Melbourne Victory staff, coaches and players, as well as participate in education, cultural and employment sessions for FREE!!

Is there a public transport option?

Our Holiday Program gives you the opportunity to drop off your child in the morning and collect them in the afternoon at one of the train stations listed below. There will be one assigned Melbourne Victory staff member at each station collecting and dropping off students at the beginning and end of each day at the station of your choice throughout the week which are listed below.

Week 1 Train Stations

Dandenong Station & Hallam Station

Week 2 Train Stations

Wyndham Vale Station & Melton Station

What do the children need to wear?
Appropriate footwear (trainers or football boots) and shorts / training pants. Each participant will be provided with a Melbourne Victory training top to wear for the duration of the program.

The club recommends the use of shin pads.

What to bring?

Muesli bars and fresh fruit will be provided in the morning upon arrival, with lunch also being provided each day. Participants are encouraged to bring their own snacks.

We strongly suggest that each participant brings water, sun protection, indoor/outdoor football boots, and clothing with them as appropriate to suit the weather.

Please note Wednesday we will be swimming so please bring bathers and a towel.

As the parent/guardian, do I have to stay for the whole day?
It is completely up to you whether you stay or drop your child off and leave after registration has been completed. For anyone staying through the day, please stay on the outside of the pitches. For anyone leaving after registration, we recommend arriving back at the ground at around 2:30pm where the end of day presentation will then take place at 2:45pm
