Melbourne Victory wishes to advise that Championship-winning Assistant Coach Jean-Paul de Marigny has parted ways with the club.
With his wife and family based in Sydney, ‘JP’ made the decision to return to New South Wales following May’s Grand Final triumph over the Newcastle Jets.
In his four seasons at AAMI Park, Melbourne Victory qualified for three Grand Finals, secured two Championship wins and also won a Premiers Plate.
“JP has been a very popular member of our football club for a number of years now,” said Head Coach Kevin Muscat.
“It’s obviously sad to see him go but we wish him and his family all the best for the future.
“We’re currently talking to a number of candidates about the role and we’re hoping to have someone in place early in pre-season.”
de Marigny has been a key component of the Football Department throughout his time at the club, since first arriving in 2013.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time in Melbourne and winning those two Grand Finals, each under very different circumstances, has certainly been the highlight,” said de Marigny.
“It’s been terrific to be part of the club’s success over the past five years and I wish Kevin and everyone else at the club the best of luck in the future.”
