Following our recent update about the North End active area, we would like to thank you, our members, for your feedback and engagement.
We have received hundreds of emails and online messages from passionate Melbourne Victory members, both from the North End and our broader membership base.
Several members requested meetings with club personnel about active matters, which have been conducted over the past fortnight.
The feedback and ideas have been welcomed, and the club will now collate all of these responses.
At the same time, the club will also engage and reconnect with various European clubs to gain valuable insights into different active structures.
Once revised plans for the North End active area are developed, they will be discussed with a range of members who have nominated to be involved in focus groups.
Following the focus group meetings, the club intends to engage all North End members to seek feedback on any proposed plans.
As a club, we want to establish a democratic approach for all North End members, so we can listen to their views and ensure everyone can have a voice for the future.
This will help us develop the best governance and operating model, and also minimise the risk of any agreed plans faltering.
We would like to make it clear, the club is not seeking an “AFL-style cheer squad”.
We want you to enjoy creating the best atmosphere in the country and experience the best aspects of active football support.
We have the biggest membership base in the Hyundai A-League, and we believe our members deserve the best. Our approach moving forward must be inclusive.
The club will continue to update North End members on developments.
