Melbourne Victory Coach Ernie Merrick has called on all promising youngsters to try out for the FOX8 hit series Football Superstar this Sunday, which could ultimately lead to a contract with the club.
Trials have been conducted throughout Australia over the past four weeks, with the Melbourne trial set to take place at Monash Sport, Building 1, Monash University, Clayton Campus, Wellington Road, Clayton. All interested participants must register before 9am.
Limited spots remain for the Melbourne trial, which is the final chance for contestants to impress before a group of Australia-s most talented are given the opportunity of a lifetime on Football Superstar.
The successful candidates will be relocated to a mansion, in which they will live together and start a gruelling process designed to test all skills needed to be a top class footballer.
Cameras will follow the journey of the boys as they are culled through an intense elimination process, before the winner is crowned Football Superstar and rewarded with a Victory playing contract and a scholarship to Victoria-s prestigious Monash University.
“Football Superstar provides a fantastic opportunity for players to earn a Melbourne Victory contract and hopefully realise a dream,” Merrick said.
“(Assistant Coach) Aaron Healey and I will be at Monash University on Sunday to see what these youngsters have to offer.”
The new series of Football Superstar kicks off on FOX8 on Wednesday, 27 May.
