Victoria Metro celebrated its recent win over NSW Metro in the FFA National Youth Championship for Boys U-14 at Melbourne Victory’s blockbuster match against Sydney FC last Saturday night.
Victoria Metro celebrated its recent win over NSW Metro in the Qantas National Youth Championships Under 14 Boys at Melbourne Victory-s blockbuster match against Sydney FC last Saturday night.
The team was given a standing ovation as they completed a lap around Telstra Dome prior to the match.
Victoria Metro was successful in four of its five group games, carrying strong form into the Final.
In the Final, the scores were locked at 1-1 after 90 minutes, with the ensuing penalty shootout resulting in a 12-11 triumph to Victoria Metro in an epic battle.
Victorian Metro Head Coach Greg Kassidas was rapt with the squad-s achievements.
“This is the first Victorian team to win for a long time, the boys responded incredibly well under pressure,” Kassidas said.
“In terms of developing talents, there are a number of players who have the talent and potential to forge strong careers in the future”
