Melbourne Victory launched its 2019/20 season in style at Wednesday’s Victory in Business luncheon, presented by AGL Energy.
The playing squad for the new season was presented to a packed room at Crown’s Palladium.
Head Coach Marco Kurz spoke about the squad he assembled for the 2019/20 season.
“After last season, we lost a lot of players,” Kurz said.
“It was time to find the right replacements, on one hand we were looking for the right qualities and on the other hand we were looking for the right personalities.
“I’m really confident that we found the right people, players and coaches, to represent our fantastic club during the season.”

Chairman Anthony Di Pietro took the opportunity to reflect on the appointment of Head Coach Marco Kurz.
“It was quickly apparent that our new Head Coach would, and should, be Marco Kurz,” Di Pietro said.
“Marco’s character is the perfect fit for Melbourne Victory.
“He is a determined and passionate leader with values that are clearly aligned to the Melbourne Victory ethos.”
