Melbourne Victory players have completed the first round of appearances at local football clubs after the successful launch of the 2012/13 Club Victory program.

The program saw eleven of the Victory boys visit the following local football club; Knox United SC, Berwick City SC, Chelsea FC, Croydon City SC, Point Cook SC, Bentleigh Greens SC, Bayside Argonauts, Eltham Redbacks SC, Ashburton United SC, Box Hill United SC and Waverley Victory SC.

As part of the program, the lucky clubs were treated to visits from Victory players who helped conduct junior training drills, Q + A-s and signing sessions.

Melbourne Victory midfielder, Isaka Cernak, who visited Croydon City SC, said it was a great opportunity for the players to put back into the community.

“It was definitely a great experience and it really gives us a chance to contribute at a grassroots level,”

“These kids are the future of the game and it-s just great to get out there and see the excitement on their faces when you have a kick with them,” said Cernak.

Tony Tsiakos, Melbourne Victory Ambassador at Bentleigh Greens SC, said “It was a great night for the club and especially for the juniors. They were overwhelmed with excitement to be able to engage with the players. It-s a moment they will never forget”

“Club Victory-s success is all about adding a different dimension to the junior football experience for kids and more generally supporting the game at Grassroots level.” added Tsiakos,
