SECOND TIME AROUND

Jeff Hopkins’ side returns to action on Sunday after the international break as they look to continue their stellar form.

Our girls in blue are now on a six-game unbeaten run, having won three in that stretch.

Striker Emily Gielnik has begun to find her footing again, having scored three times in the last five weeks with no signs of slowing down.

Last time out against the Nix ended in a dramatic 2-2 draw, with Kayla Morrison and Kurea Okino both finding the back of the net.

Since our last meeting, the Nix have lost seven matches, only winning two in that stretch.

FIRST TIME’S THE CHARM

Tony Popovic’s side will travel to Brisbane for the first time this season when they take on the Roar at Suncorp Stadium, Sunday afternoon.

Our boys in blue are coming off their second loss of the season last weekend after a 0-1 loss to the Central Coast Mariners at home and will be looking to return to the winners list.

Victory now sit in third place on the Isuzu UTE A-League table, six points behind league-leaders Wellington, with a much-needed three points up for grabs when we make the trip north.

It was a 0-0 draw last time we made the trip to Brisbane, with October 2019 being the last time we left the sunshine state with all three points.
