PREVIEW

A dramatic 1-1 draw against Macarthur last week sees the boys in blue remain undefeated to start the season.

Tony Popovic’s side now face their second of three road trips when they take on the Central Coast Mariners on Sunday afternoon.

Ryan Teague returns to the extended squad after a short turnaround from Olyroos duty meant the young midfielder wasn’t able to recover in time for the match against Macarthur.

A hamstring injury last week meant Ben Folami was left out of the side but will make a return after only missing one match.

A red card for Adama Traore will see the full-back miss Sunday against the Mariners.

Our boys in blue have lost only one of their last four games outside Victoria in the A-League Men.

Dynamic duo Nishan Velapillay (8) and Zinedine Machach (6) have made more take-ons in the opposition box this A-League Men campaign than any other players.

It’s been a mixed start to the season for the Mariners who currently sit 11th on the A-League Men’s table after only claiming one win, however, sit atop their AFC Cup group.
