Melbourne Victory is proud to confirm that Jing Reec has been selected for the Australian U23 National Team for the June FIFA Men’s International Window.
Reec, who has made a strong impact at both national and international levels in recent months, will join teammates Joshua Rawlins and Jordi Valadon following the conclusion of the 2024/25 A-League season.
Australia will assemble in Yongin, Korea Republic for two matches ahead of their AFC U23 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Qualifiers in September. The selection of Australian-based players will allow Head Coach Tony Vidmar and his staff to work with several new faces, as they look to build greater depth across the squad in the lead-up to the tournament.
The Subway Olyroos’ path to the AFC U23 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ has also been confirmed, following the official draw at AFC House in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, 29 May.
Australia has been drawn into Group D alongside host nation China PR, Northern Mariana Islands, and Timor-Leste. Qualifiers for the 7th edition of the AFC U23 Asian Cup™ – to be held in Saudi Arabia – will take place during the September FIFA Men’s International Window and will feature 44 teams divided into 11 groups.
