On Squad Fitness after the international break…
“Sometimes the break comes at a good time, sometimes it comes at not such a good time. For us, it’s come at a good time.”
“We feel that we’re in a good place to kick on for the last five games leading hopefully into finals. So, we’re looking to prepare really well for every game.”
On the potential return of Beattie Goad…
“Yeah, look, she’s coming in and out as usual, Beattie is a bit of a high achiever in everything that she does.”
“I guess it depends on probably whether she starts or whether she’s on the bench and how much time she can spend on the field.”
“It will depend on how she recovers from the training she’s done this week. I think it’s been six or seven weeks since she’s actually done any training or actually played, so we’ll just have to see. But she’s in amazing shape. She’s in a much better place than I thought she would be in.”
On Wellington…
“I’m expecting, as usual from them, a very competitive, hard-working, high-pressing game and they will try and play technically well.”
“They will give us a really, really tough game.”
On the remainder of the season…
“We’re looking at winning the last five games and seeing where that puts us.”
“Our aim is to go and win every game between now and the end of the season. It’s about getting some consistency into these games and just keep building from week to week.”
“They understand the seriousness of this season, the last five games, and how important they are. So, the preparation that we put in, the training, the recovery, every little aspect is really important.”
