Melbourne Victory young duo Graskoski and Inserra extended

Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce that rising stars Daniel Graskoski and Joshua Inserra have extended their contracts until the end of the 2027/28 Isuzu UTE A-League season.

The dynamic duo have made outstanding contributions to Victory’s success in the past 12 months, with both playing invaluable roles in the 2024/25 Finals Series.

Inserra, who came through the Club’s Academy program, first joined the senior squad in 2023 before becoming a regular feature in Victory’s backline in 2025. Gaining experience and form on the international stage, Inserra made history earlier this year with the Australian U20 National Team when they were victorious at the AFC U20 Asian Cup, the first-ever time Australia won the tournament.

Teammate Daniel Graskoski has also made fantastic strides since joining the first team in mid-2024, providing invaluable talent and depth to Victory’s goalkeeping ranks, working closely with the senior keepers and defenders to contribute to Victory’s success. The 18-year-old has also featured with the Australian National Teams, in each of the U17, U18 and U20 squads.

With another big A-League Men’s season ahead of them, both Inserra and Graskoski were also recently selected to represent Australia at the FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile later this month.

Melbourne Victory Director of Football John Didulica said that the extension of both young talents was a great step for the long-term growth and success of the Club’s men’s program.

“Joshua and Daniel have continuously shown their high quality of football, their leadership and that they both possess the important qualities we want in our players to be part of our long-term success at Melbourne Victory,” Didulica said.

“Having come through Academy programs and into our senior team, both have shown their dedication and a willingness to work hard and understand the responsibilities that come with playing for this Club.

“Their national team duties and quality of performances week in and week out have shown their talent and potential. We look forward to seeing them continue their journey with us at Melbourne Victory and reaching new heights in their football.”

Looking ahead to national team duties and the upcoming season, Inserra said he was thrilled to continue his career in navy blue.

“I’m really excited to have re-signed with the Club,” Inserra said.

“It’s an honour to continue representing Melbourne Victory and I’m looking forward to building on what we’ve achieved and giving everything for the team and the fans.”

Inserra and Graskoski join new recruits Juan Mata, Matthew Grimaldi, Jack Warshawsky, Denis Genreau, Emre Saglam, Oliver Dragicevic, Xavier StellaJason Davidson, Sebastian EspositoFranco Lino, Keegan Jelacic, and Louis D’Arrigo, who have all joined the Club ahead of the upcoming A-League season, together with Luka Kolić, Kayne Razmovski, Roderick Miranda, Adama Traoré, and Santos, who extended their contracts with the Club. Meanwhile, Jack Mihailidis and Daniel Lazarevski have been elevated to working with the senior squad.
