Team News | Round 13 Extended Squads Named

Head Coaches Tony Popovic and Jeff Hopkins have named their extended squads ahead of Round 13.

Melbourne Victory Women

A 1-1 draw against an in-form Perth Glory team last weekend broke a streak of three losses in a row for Jeff Hopkins’ side.

Our girls in blue will look to build on the performance as they face a struggling Canberra United.

Goalkeeper Lydia Williams missed Friday’s clash with the Glory after picking up an ankle injury during the loss to Western United the week before. While she was cleared of any serious injury, Williams’ return will be a day-to-day proposition.

Defender Jessika Nash has returned to Hopkins’ extended squad to face Canberra after also missing the clash with Perth after picking up a knee injury against Western United. Her progress will continue to be monitored.

Striker Kurea Okino also returns to the extended squad after missing last week.
