Melbourne Victory National Youth League Coach Darren Davies has named his squad ahead of the team-s season opener this weekend.

Davies said the young team was full of talent and players who were aiming to get a taste of Hyundai A-League action.

“Our lads have already seen plenty of success, with youngster Andrew Nabbout making his Hyundai A-League debut, in the club-s first away trip of the year against Brisbane Roar,” Davies said.

“To me, this is what the Youth League is all about, unearthing young talent and giving them the opportunity to shine on the national stage.”

The twelve players who have been offered National Youth League contracts for the 2012/13 season are:
Connor Pain
John Buceto
Kwanene Boahene
Andrew Nabbout
Phillip Petreski
Nick Ansell
Luc Jeggo
Jake Nakic
Chris Cristaldo
Luke O’Dea
Luke Radonich
Dylan Murnane

Luke O-Dea has also seen success recently, being part of the Qantas Young Socceroos who toured Portugal in October. O-Dea was part of the 23-man squad, coached by Paul Okon.

Melbourne Victory-s National Youth League campaign begins on Saturday, 20 October, with the team taking on Adelaide United at SS Anderson Reserve in Port Melbourne from 2.30pm.
