Melbourne Victory Women are looking to bounce back this week when they travel to the ACT for an important match against Canberra United.
After a late draw with Wellington Phoenix, Victory will be searching for important points to maintain their position in the top three of the Ninja A-league table.
In the first of two back-to-back away matches, the squad remains unchanged, and Head Coach Jeff Hopkins will be looking to his veteran players as well as young talent to come away with the win.
Historically a tough opponent but currently holding a strong record against Canberra going back to 2017, Victory will again be challenged with experience and youth across the opposition’s line-up.
Melbourne Victory:
Unchanged from round six, defenders Kayla Morrison and Claudia Bunge will be key to Victory’s chances, while midfielder Alex Chidiac hopes to continue to have an impact.
Canberra United:
Currently 9th on the ladder, Canberra United will rely on the experience of Michelle Hayman to try and secure points, having just one win and one draw in their last five matches.
