South Korean fullback Jun Jae Choi has been invited to train with the club for the next fortnight.
The 23-year-old is currently unattached after recently graduating from Jungwon University, where he played in the U-League.
“Jun’s come over, he trained with us a couple of weeks last season,” Kevin Muscat said.
“He’s someone we’ve been monitoring. He’s come out of the university system in Korea.
“We’ve studied that market a little bit and it’s difficult to get players out of Asia once they commit to a club because they put them on long-term deals.”
Choi has represented South Korea at multiple junior age levels, and has also spent time in the youth system at Jeonbuk Motors.
“We’re just having a look at him and giving him that experience, but at the same time we’ve still got an opportunity to sign a couple of foreigners so we’ll see what happens,” Muscat said.
