Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce the signing of Olyroos midfielder Ryan Teague for the 2023/24 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
The 21-year-old has signed on with the Club on a three-year deal, joining from Portuguese side, FC Famalicao where he spent the past three seasons including a loan spell to fellow Portuguese club, SV Covilha.
Teague is a youth international, representing Australia at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil and is currently featuring for the U23’s in their quest for qualification ahead of the AFC U23 Asian Cup.
Melbourne Victory Head Coach, Tony Popovic said he was excited to add Teague to the squad ahead of the start of the season.
“We’re pleased to have Ryan join us at Melbourne Victory for the upcoming season,” Popovic said.
“Ryan is an exciting, young midfielder who has been an important member and leader at youth international level and we believe he can be an influential contributor to the squad this season.”
Teague was also looking forward to returning to the A-League with Melbourne Victory.

“I had a great experience in Europe and this opportunity to return to Australia is important for me to test myself consistently in the A-League and produce at a high level for Melbourne Victory.

Teague is the Club’s final new signing of the pre-season transfer period joining Daniel Arzani, Zinedine Machach, Adama Traore and Fabian Monge along with the re-signing of Roderick Miranda and the elevation of Franco Lino, Jordi Valadon, Joshua Inserra and Christian Siciliano to the senior squad ahead of the 2023/24 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
