Senior Academy players Alex Menelaou, Luka Kolić and Daniel Graskoski have all earned a call-up to the A-League Men’s squad.
The trio have featured prominently in the Club’s strong Victorian Premier League 1 (VPL1) campaign, as the side continues its push towards promotion to the Victorian top tier.
20-year-old Menelaou is a central midfielder who captains the VPL1 side and made his debut for the A-League Men’s team against Manchester United two years ago at the MCG.
A junior at Northcote City and FC Bulleen Lions, he joined the club from Melbourne City ahead of the 2022 season and has made 54 league appearances since then, scoring seven goals.
19-year-old Kolic joined Joe Palatsides’ VPL1 side from Melbourne Knights at the conclusion of the 2023 season and has shone through in the Academy set up in that time.
Beginning his career at Melbourne Knights as an eight year old, Kolić progressed through the juniors and made his senior debut aged 17 in 2022.
He made a total of 50 league appearances (7 goals) for the Knights, and was a key part of their run to the semi finals of the 2023 Australia Cup.
Kolic is a versatile midfielder whose goalscoring has been a feature in taking Victory to the top of the VPL1 table, having netted 5 times in 16 games.
17-year-old goalkeeper Graskoski is the first 2007 born player signed professionally to the Club in its history.
A junior at Glen Eira/FTS and Northcote City, he has played across both the senior NPL sides during his time at the Club.
The shot-stopper has also featured for Australia’s youth representative teams.
