Melbourne Victory is proud to announce that Alana Murphy has been named in the Matildas squad for the upcoming 2025 SheBelieves Cup.
Announced following an update provided by Football Australia, Murphy has been called up to make her senior debut during the February FIFA Women’s International Window.
The 19-year-old has previously represented Australia with the Young Matildas’ in early 2024 and has since been a key member of Victory’s midfield during the current 2024/25 Ninja A-League campaign.
Australia will kick off its campaign on February 19 against fellow AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026 qualifiers, Japan, at Toyota Stadium in Houston.
They will then face the world’s top-ranked team and reigning Olympic champions, the United States, on February 22 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.
Their tournament will conclude on February 25 with a showdown against Colombia at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego.
