The A-Leagues will celebrate the twentieth anniversary season with the first-ever original Melbourne Derby Isuzu UTE A-League Grand Final, with Melbourne Victory to face Melbourne City on Saturday 31 May at AAMI Park.
In front of a sell-out crowd at Go Media Stadium, Melbourne Victory has upset Premiers Auckland FC to reach the Isuzu UTE A-League 2025 Grand Final. Trailing 1-0 heading into the away leg in New Zealand, Victory levelled the tie early in the second half via a deflected, long-range Zinedine Machach strike.
Veteran striker, Bruno Fornaroli, then doubled Victory’s lead on the hour, slotting home from close range, to put Victory 2-0 up on the night and ahead in the tie. The Black Knights threw everything at the travelling side for the final thirty minutes, but Victory held on to record a memorable away-win, and advance to the Grand Final.
Melbourne Victory will take on Melbourne City who saw off hometown rivals Western United 1-1 on Saturday night and 4-1 on aggregate over the two legs.
Tickets will go on sale from 10am AEST on Monday 26 May for club members, and from 1pm AEST on Tuesday 27 May for the general public via ticketek.com.au.
For Australian viewers, the Isuzu UTE A-League 2025 Grand Final will be telecast live on Network 10, and streamed exclusively on 10 Play and Paramount+.
