Melbourne Victory sign American Kennedy White

Melbourne Victory is pleased to confirm that American Kennedy White has signed with the Club for the 2025/26 A-League season.

A tall and speedy striker originally from Michigan, White joined Győri ETO FC in the Hungarian First Division in 2024 and went on to contribute to the team’s success in the Hungarian Cup later that year, scoring 32 goals and assisting a further 17 in a huge 24/25 season.

Prior to the move to Hungry, White played four years of college football at Bowling Green State University before finishing her career with one season at Mississippi State University, winning numerous awards, including being recognised as team and conference Offensive Player of the Year along with the All-Region and All-Conference player of the tournament.

The 25-year-old striker brings depth and international experience to Victory’s attack and A-League Women’s Head Coach Jeff Hopkins said he was pleased to have an incredibly exciting and proven goal-scoring threat joining the Club ahead of the upcoming season.

“Melbourne Victory is thrilled to have Kennedy joining our Senior Women’s football program for 2025/26,” Hopkins said.

“Having fallen just short of our goal last season, we are determined to go one step further this year and secure silverware in 2026. Having a player of Kennedy’s calibre joining our ranks is important to helping support the team do so

“With success in the A-League, it’s expected that some of our biggest talents would seek opportunities overseas, but it’s also an opportunity for us to bring in new players that can add depth and dimension to our core group.

“I have no doubt that Kennedy will bring a fast and exciting style of football to the pitch and is a great addition as we aim to break records again this season.”

Heading to Australia for the first time, White said she was excited and grateful for the opportunity to be joining Melbourne Victory.

“I”m incredibly excited to be heading to Australia for the upcoming A-Leagues season,” White said.

“As a player, it’s always a privilege to be joining big clubs with a passionate following and I know Victory is arguably the biggest and best club in the league both on and off the pitch. Coming off success in Europe, my goal is to bring my best football each week, and contribute alongside my teammates so together we  can continue achieving the goals for our members and fans that we know this group is capable of.”

White joins new recruit Taylor Ray for the upcoming A-League season, together with Holly Furphy, Alana Jančeski, Sofia Sakalis, Courtney Newbon, Nicki Flannery, Rachel Lowe, Laura Pickett and Ella O’Grady, who have all re-signed with the Club for the upcoming season.
