Melbourne Victory welcomes Sienna Saveska for upcoming season

Melbourne Victory is pleased to confirm that Young Matilda Sienna Saveska has signed with the Club for the upcoming A-League season.

A creative and attacking midfielder with eye for goal, the 18-year-old made 22 appearances last season, with a career high of seven goals. Having progressed through the Football NSW institute before making her senior Ninja A-League debut in 2022, Saveska is another exciting young talent being added to Victory’s ranks.

With the immediate and long term success of the Women’s football program the priority for 2025/26 and beyond, Head Coach Jeff Hopkins said he was looking forward to seeing Saveska continue her career and reach her full potential with Victory.

“Sienna is a great example of young talent coming through the A-League with the potential to achieve great success,” Hopkins said.

“She is the type of player that can rise to any challenge put to her by an opponent, and I look forward to seeing her bring her best as she works with our experienced leadership group to build on her development and progression as a footballer.

“I have no doubt that Sienna can reach new heights with Victory, and I look forward to having her exciting style of football on the pitch for us each week.”

Making the move to Melbourne after playing her career so far in New South Wales, Saveska said she was grateful and looking forward to joining her new teammates for pre-season.

“Melbourne Victory is the Club that every player deep down wants to play for,” Saveska said.

“The Club has had incredible success over the last several seasons and I’m grateful for the opportunity to play under Jeff and contribute to the ongoing growth of women’s football.

“My primary goal is to bring my best every week, as well as learning and contributing alongside my teammates to ultimately help the Club to win games in front of some of the most passionate and loyal fans in the league.”

Saveska joins new recruits Kennedy White and Taylor Ray for the upcoming A-League season, together with Holly Furphy, Alana Jančeski, Sofia Sakalis, Courtney Newbon, Nicki Flannery, Rachel Lowe, Laura Pickett and Ella O’Grady who have all re-signed with the Club for the upcoming season.
