Melbourne Victory’s Claudia Bunge has been called on to help New Zealand qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The 26-year-old defender is part of Head Coach, Michael Mayne’s 23-strong group for the finals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 Oceania Qualifiers.
New Zealand will face Fiji in the semi-final in Hamilton, with the victorious team playing the winner of Papua New Guinea and American Samoa in Auckland for a place at the World Cup.
Bunge has been capped 40 times by her country, captaining the Football Ferns in the most recent of these earlier this month, when she was on the scoresheet in a 0-3 win over American Samoa.
