Melbourne Victory signed off the regular season by thrashing Port Melbourne SC in Round 26 of the 2026 VPL Men 1 season.
For a second week in a row, the Boys in Blue displayed a clinical edge, hitting four without reply at the Home of the Matildas on Sunday afternoon to climb into third spot on the final ladder.
Daniel Matina, fresh from netting in the A-League Men’s pre-season fixture at St Albans Dinamo on Wednesday night, scored in either half.
His efforts were followed by goals in the last 10 minutes for Alex Lee and James Carrocci, who himself bagged a hat-trick versus Dinamo.
Victory will now host sixth-place Eltham Redbacks FC for a place in the Play-Offs Final, with FC Bulleen Lions and Northcote City FC locking horns in the other Semi-Final.

Speaking to MelbourneVictory.com.au, Senior Academy Head Coach, Besart Berisha, was delighted to end the regular season on a winning note.
“I was very pleased with the performance from our team in our final match of the regular season against Port Melbourne. It was one of our youngest line-ups of the season, and the boys who stepped up did a fantastic job. We were very dangerous going forward, played with great energy and freedom, and scored some beautiful goals. It was a very positive performance and another great example of the quality and character within this young group.
“We are very proud and pleased to finish third on the table with one of the youngest squads in Club history to enter this competition. Now it’s finals time, and we will prepare well for these special games.”
