Melbourne Victory play against Northcote City FC in the VPL Men 1 Final.
The winner at Lakeside Stadium on Saturday, September 19, kick-off 7:30pm AEST, will clinch the remaining spot in the 2027 Senol NPL Victoria Men competition.
Victory, led by Senior Academy Head Coach, Besart Berisha, defeated Eltham Redbacks 2-0 at the Home of the Matildas, whilst in the other semi-final running simultaneously, Northcote beat FC Bulleen Lions.

Melbourne Victory finished ahead of Northcote City FC on the regular-season ladder by goal difference, with the teams boasting identical records: 13 wins, four draws and seven losses.
City won both the home and away meetings by a single goal in May and August, but that will count for very little come kick-off in the winner-takes-all clash.
If anything, a better indicator of form would be the back-to-back wins, over Port Melbourne SC and Manningham United Blues FC, that Victory ended their 2026 campaign with, as Northcote concluded the season with two losses.

Melbourne Victory scored in either half against Eltham Redbacks to secure their spot in the 2026 VPL Men 1 Final. A-League-contracted Jack Mihailidis struck first from the penalty spot after 17 minutes before having a big hand in the second goal. He was upended by goalkeeper Abdulkerim Koc, but with an advantage played, Ben Dunbar capitalised to eliminate the Redbacks.
Ten-player Northcote City FC struck at the death to squeeze past FC Bulleen Lions last Friday night. Nicholas Morton twice saw go-ahead goals cancelled out at John Cain Memorial Park, with Connor Bell and Matheus Assumpcao on target for the visitors. The second of these equalisers, midway through the second half, seemed certain to turn the tide in Bulleen’s favour, but they could not make their man advantage count after Peter Kotsiris’ first-half red card, and Angus Taylor won it in the 89th minute for City.
