What is a player mascot?
The role of a Match Day mascot is to walk out of the player’s tunnel alongside the home and away teams prior to kick-off.
Each mascot will stand on pitch for the opening sequence before being returned to their parents/guardians by a coordinator.
What happens on Match Day?
Participants will receive a wristband to access the field of play and 2 tickets to the game (1 for them and 1 for their parent/guardian).
Participants will meet the MVFC Mascot Coordinator and then be taken inside the stadium to prepare.
What should I wear?
Participants will be provided a Melbourne Victory uniform (shorts and shirt) to be worn while they walk out and returned afterwards.
What time does the game start?
Liberty A-League Women’s: Melbourne Victory v Western Sydney Wanderers kicks off at 7:00pm on Friday 16 February at The Home of The Matildas.
Please arrive at least one hour before kick off.
Where do I need to check in when I arrive on Match Day?
Registered participants and their parent/guardian will meet Melbourne Victory staff one hour prior to kick-off, at the left-hand side of the Entrance building at the Home of The Matildas.
When will I receive my ticket?
Each participant and their guardian will receive 2 printed tickets (one for the participant, one for their guardian) at check-in.
Your Melbourne Victory membership will also get you entry into the match, however you will be required to redeem a ticket via Ticketek here.

Where will I be sitting?
Participants and their parents/guardians are free to choose their seating arrangements around the ground with reserved seating in the grand stand subject to availability.
What do I do after I check in?
Parents will not accompany participants onto the field of play. After meeting the MVFC Mascot Coordinator, parents/guardians are welcome to wait around the ground until players have walked out at the start of the match.
After the players walk out, where should I go to meet my child?
Please meet MVFC coaches in pavilion foyer where staff will sign participants back to parents/guardians.
How can I ensure participants have the best experience?
Aim to arrive early to avoid possible traffic delays. Late arrival may result in your child missing out on taking part.
Please take participants to the toilet prior to meeting the MVFC Mascot Coordinator.
How can I be a player mascot?
Opportunities to be a player mascot are limited to Club Victory affiliated community clubs and junior Melbourne Victory members. Clubs and members will be contacted directly and offered the opportunity to take part.
