A-League preview: Victory v Adelaide

A-League preview: Victory v Adelaide

Melbourne Victory hosts Adelaide United at AAMI Park on Sunday in a game which marks Member Recognition Round.

Summary

Victory members get free entry for the encounter as the Club thanks fans for their loyalty this season.

The clash marks the first of three games Victory has in Melbourne to finish the A-League campaign.

It also comes just four days after Victory suffered a 2-0 loss to Sydney FC at Jubilee Stadium.

Nishan Velupillay, 20, made his Victory debut off the bench in Sydney, with the winger providing some lively moments in attack in the defeat.

Callum McManaman, who was replaced by Velupillay, made his return from injury, while Adama Traore and Nick Ansell played following suspensions.

However, Ansell came off in the first half due to a hamstring injury.

Victory is back at AAMI Park for the first time since May 6, when Elvis Kamsoba’s opener was not enough in a 2-1 loss to Macarthur.
