It was much of a back-and-forth to start the match with both teams eager to find the breakthrough.

And then it finally came in the 18th minute when Linus Bourke’s cross from a free kick found Kayne Razmovski alone in the box. Razmovki headed the ball across the face of the goal to find Matt Bozinovski all alone.

The towering defender made no mistake, finding the back of the net for the second match in a row.

It didn’t take long for Victory to find a second when a failed clearance from the North Geelong keeper ricocheted off of Eli Adams’ head. The ball bounced past everyone, crossing the line to double our lead.

North Geelong had their best chance of the first half in the 41st minute. Some nice link-up work between the Warriors’ attackers got the visitors a golden chance, however, the shot was sent straight to Taleb who collected nicely.

Just as North Geelong looked to get back into the contest, Jesse Hoey all but put the Warriors away.

On the edge of half-time, Eli Adams sent Hoey in one-on-one with the Warriors keeper with a beautiful through ball on the counter.

Hoey made no mistake, rattling the back of the net to put Victory up 3-0.

We started the second half just as we finished the first with our young boys in blue dominating possession.

Luka Kolic sent in dangerous corner after dangerous corner as our boys looked to add a fourth.

In the 55th minute, Kayne Razmovski came close after his curling shot from outside the box forced the Warriors keeper to push the ball out for a corner.

Ten minutes later, a towering header from defender Damien Bozinvoski gave Victory a fourth, with both Bozinovski brothers on the scoresheet.

It was also an afternoon to remember for Christian Polyzoudis who made his Senior Academy debut after coming off the bench in the 67th minute.

Victory continued to dominate possession in search of a fifth goal, but before that could happen the full-time whistle blew.

Our Academy boys in blue are now undefeated in five matches to start the season and sit atop the VPL1 table.
