Melbourne Victory is set to continue its AFC Champions League campaign in Doha, Qatar, after an agreement was reached in Friday between the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the Qatar Football Association (QFA).
The AFC Champions League (East), which will be played between November 18 and December 13, 2020, follows the successful completion of the AFC Champions League (West) in Qatar.
The club has four remaining group stage matches, including back to back games against Beijing FC, followed by Chiangrai United and FC Seoul. Victory is currently sitting third in Group E.
Melbourne Victory’s remaining Group E matches:
Tuesday 24 November – Beijing FC v Melbourne Victory
Friday 27 November – Melbourne Victory v Beijing FC
Monday 30 November – Chiangrai United v Melbourne Victory
Thursday 3 December – Melbourne Victory v FC Seoul
The AFC Champions League (East) will resume from the Group Stage and continue through the Round of 16 to the Quarter-finals and Semi-finals. The venue for the Final, which is scheduled to be played on December 19, 2020, will be confirmed in due course.
