Midfielder Alana Murphy has earned the December nomination for the 2023-24 Liberty A-League Young Footballer of the Year award.
Murphy played every game for Victory through December, with the standout moment being her assist to Kurea Okino in the team’s 2-0 win over Canberra United.
The midfielder was nominated by a panel of experts comprising Rae Dower, Leah Blayney, Cheryl Downes, Teo Pellizzeri, Rhali Dobson and Kate Gill.
The Young Matildas star is the third Young Footballer of the Year nominee this season; Melbourne City’s Daniela Galic earned the November nomination after Perth Glory midfielder Georgia Cassidy took out the honours in October.
