After Melbourne Victory marquee player Harry Kewell arrived yesterday before the start of the Hyundai A-League season, Mark ‘Bozza- Bosnich confessed he “always loved watching Kewell play”.

Bozza opened up to a-league.com.au in a candid interview about the “WE ARE FOOTBALL” campaign, Brett Emerton and Kewell.

“I can-t wait to see Kewell don the jersey of Melbourne Victory and test his wits against Australia-s best,” said Bozza, who played four games for the Central Coast Mariners.

Bozza-s relationship with the football superstar goes back 16 years, when the former Socceroos goalkeeper shared a room with Kewell, aged 17-years-old at the time.

“We struck up a great relationship and I obviously came across him several times playing against him in the English Premier League.”

With only 27 days to go until kick off in the Hyundai A-League, the Fox Sports football commentator strongly believes the fans are what make the game “so powerful, so great and so beautiful”.

“People ask me why it-s called the beautiful game,” said the 39-year-old. “For me, it-s encapsulated by the fans- passion, verve and the way they go about supporting their teams.”

Bozza has hit the nail on the head, as the “WE ARE FOOTBALL” pre-season trailer states:

“WE ARE THE ENERGY, ATMOSPHERE, HEART AND SOUL.
WE-RE ALL EQUAL, WE ALL HAVE A PART TO PLAY.
WE STAND SHOULDER TO SHOULDER WITH STRANGERS.
WE BELONG ON THE TERRACES.
WE-RE ALL FANS.”
