Melbourne Victory would like to congratulate Laura Brock on her move to play in the Division 1 Féminine in France.

The experienced defender has signed with En Avant de Guingamp ahead of their upcoming season in the top-flight.

Westfield W-League Head Coach, Jeff Hopkins, wished Brock all the best for her time in Europe.

“On behalf of everyone at Melbourne Victory, we’d like to congratulate Laura on signing with En Avant Guingamp,” Hopkins said.

“Laura joined us ahead of the 2017/18 season and has been an integral member of our backline. She’s a very driven and professional player who provided us with valuable experience on and off the pitch, especially in our premiership season.

“We wish Laura all the best for the next chapter in her career in France and she is always welcome back at Melbourne Victory.”

Brock most recently joined Victory ahead of the 2017/18 season. The 30 year-old previously played at the club from 2008-2010. During her two stints at Victory Brock played 46 games in the navy blue.

“12 years ago Melbourne victory really embraced me as one of their own and truly kicked off my career,” Brock said.

“Without Victory, I would never have gone on to achieve what I have. They believed in me and it was so nice that after eight years of being away, I had the opportunity to return and play for them. The past three seasons was like returning home and I enjoyed every minute of it.

“Victory will always hold a special place in my heart, the many people behind the scenes, the coaching staff, my teammates and our members and fans. It has been an honour to represent the navy blue.”
