Leigh Broxham will make his 350th appearance for Melbourne Victory in the FFA Cup clash against the Newcastle Jets at AAMI Park.
The stalwart, 31, has been named in Victory’s starting XI for the Round of 32 encounter on Wednesday.
Broxham is set to start in midfield in Marco Kurz’s first competitive game in charge of Victory.
It will mark his club-record 17th appearance in the FFA Cup, adding to his 292 Hyundai A-League games, 40 outings in the AFC Champions League and one in the OFC Club Championship.
Broxham enjoyed a fine campaign in 2018-19 and was honoured with the Victory Medal in May.
A four-time championship and three-time premiership winner, Broxham – who also helped Victory win the FFA Cup in 2015 – signed a two-year deal with the club days later.
A club great whose versatility has been a key, Broxham has played the equal second most games in Hyundai A-League history, fewer only than Andrew Durante (313).
While Broxham is set for his 350th game, Brandon Lauton, 19, will make his first Victory appearance, starting at right-back.
Centre-back Matt Bozinovski, 18, could make his debut off the bench.
