Countdown To Kick-Off | Dub Away And Academy Derby

Jeff Hopkins’ side make the trip to Newcastle while the Victory Academy host Melbourne City in the first Academy Derby of the season.

Nine Matches Unbeaten

A tense Melbourne Derby played in hot conditions ended with a point for each team, as Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City’s second meeting of the season ended in a 0-0 draw.

The draw means our girls in blue are unbeaten in their last nine matches, the longest streak in the Club’s A-League Women’s history.

Looking ahead to a vital clash against Newcastle on Saturday, a draw will secure Victory’s place in the finals, whereas a win will keep our chances of finishing top alive.

The Jets sit seventh on the Liberty A-League table, only six points behind Victory with two matches to play.
