Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce that Amy Jackson and Rosie Sutton have signed with the club for the Westfield W-League 2019/20 Season.
Jackson, 32, returns to Victory where she first started her W-League career back in 2010 and made 47 appearances before moving to cross-town rivals Melbourne City in 2015.
The midfielder also spent a season with South Korean side Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels in 2016 and is now looking forward to returning to where it all began.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to be back at Melbourne Victory for another W-League season,” said Jackson.
“It’s set to be an enjoyable and competitive season and I’m looking forward to working hard and adapting to the team playing style under the guidance of an experienced and well-respected coach in Jeff Hopkins.”
Sutton, 29, arrives at Melbourne Victory after stints with Perth Glory, Adelaide United and Western Sydney Wanderers between 2012–2017.
The striker, who has over 20 goals to her name, is making her return to professional football after spending the 2018/19 season back in her hometown of Brisbane and is excited by the challenge ahead in Melbourne.
“I’m happy to be a part of the Victory family and am very much looking forward to the season,” said Sutton.
“I already feel very supported by the club and coaching staff – they even made it possible for me to bring my dog with me to Melbourne and we have settled in well.
“I’m excited to build on the success Victory achieved last year and hopefully I can help contribute in attack.”
