The Melbourne Victory Women are taking on the undefeated league leaders and the Victory-s biggest W-League rivals Canberra United this Friday afternoon at the Veneto Club, Bulleen in their annual match up for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation Trophy and they need your support!
With a core of young, talented local players and Australian representatives as well as staring imports including Captain Jodie Taylor (The FA WSL), Kendall Fletcher and Danielle Johnson (USA Women-s Pro Soccer), Melbourne are looking to keep hold of their spot in the Top 4 and stop Canberra-s winning streak at 9 games. After narrowly being defeated 2-1 in Canberra earlier in the year, the Victory Women are out for revenge and to take home the three points.
Best of all this holiday season, you can come along for FREE. Any Melbourne Victory member who presents their membership pass at the ticket box on the day will receive free entry to the final home game of the 2011/12 season.
