Melbourne Victory is proud to confirm that Joshua Inserra, Daniel Graskoski and Sebastian Esposito have been named in the Australian U20 National Team for the upcoming FIFA U20 World Cup.
A 23-player squad has been confirmed to compete in Group D alongside Italy, Argentina and Cuba in Chile, during the September and October FIFA window.
Head Coach of the Australia U20 Men’s National Team, Trevor Morgan, said he was pleased to have a talented squad available that will take on the world’s best youth players.
“From our first match in June 2023 until now, this group of players have shown themselves to be very competitive with quality, character and a great desire to represent Australia with pride.
“Winning the Asian Cup has raised the team’s expectations of the performances they can deliver and given them the chance to test themselves at the highest level in a World Cup.
“We are looking forward to assembling the group in camp and working hard together to be ready for this amazing opportunity.”
With all three players frequently having a positive impact on Victory’s results, Director of Football John Didulica said the selection was a testament to their continued excellence in 2025.
“Joshua and Daniel continue to make great contributions to the Club both on and off the pitch, their development during 2025 and their ongoing selection for national team duty, highlighting the quality footballers they have become,” Didulica said.
“Since joining our senior squad, Sebastian has also displayed the exceptional qualities that we expect at Melbourne Victory and the talent that earns National selection.
“I have no doubt that all three will once again rise to the occasion playing for Australia and continue putting together excellent performances on the pitch.”
