Scans have revealed Melbourne Victory midfielder, Jay Barnett, has avoided any serious damage to the bone in his lower right leg.
Barnett was subbed off in the 30th minute of last Tuesday’s AFC Champions League match against FC Seoul after suffering pain in his lower right leg.
The images did, however, confirm Barnett has sustained a soft tissue injury to the area located between the anterior and lateral compartments of the lower right leg.
Due to the uncommon nature of the injury, the club will monitor Barnett closely through his rehabilitation and provide a timeframe on his return when available.
