Melbourne Victory Women’s attacker Kennedy White is aiming to entertain, starting with the season opener against Brisbane Roar.
The 2025/26 Ninja A-League gets underway this weekend, with Victory starting their campaign away to Brisbane Roar on Saturday, November 1, kick-off 5pm AEDT.
Women’s Head Coach, Jeff Hopkins, beginning his 10th year at the helm, will have plenty of new players at his disposal following a busy off-season of player trading, with Kennedy being part of a double-digit recruitment drive.
She joined the Club on the back of a stellar season with Győri ETO FC, finding the net 32 times and recording 17 assists, helping the team to win the Hungarian Cup.
Speaking to Melbourne Victory, Kennedy talked about the healthy feeling of anticipation following her move to Australia.
“I am excited to see everyone at the games supporting us, meet the fans and everything, and make great games for people to come to and be a part of.
“Everyone has been so welcoming and supportive. I am just really excited to be part of such a big club and a great atmosphere with great fans, so I am excited.”
Kennedy also gave an insight into her on-field attributes and what Victory members and fans can expect to see when she takes to the pitch.
“I would say [I am] very hard working, I love to score goals, assist, help the team however I can, even if that is just laying off the ball and getting in the box.
“I am pretty good in the air, I am pretty tall, so I like to be dominant in the air, and support however I can.”
