Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce midfielder Lia Privitelli has re-signed ahead of the 2020/21 Westfield W-League season.
The 26-year-old will remain in the navy blue this season after making a successful return from hip surgery.
Privitelli said she is preparing for another big W-League campaign.
“I’m really pleased to recommit to the club for the upcoming season,” Privitelli said.
“To continue playing for Victory is truly special. Jeff, the football staff and my teammates have supported me to get back ready for this season and I’m working hard to repay the faith they have shown in me.
“As a group we are really hungry to improve on where we finished last season. There is a great drive amongst the team, and we know we have to continue to work hard over the coming months to be ready for another tough campaign.”
The speedy winger has made 37 appearances in the #19 jersey over the past four seasons.
Head Coach, Jeff Hopkins, said Privitelli is a valued and respected member of the squad.
“We’re extremely pleased to have re-signed Lia for this season,” Hopkins said.
“Lia has been part of our club for several seasons now and she understands the culture, our standards and the brand of football we want to play.
“She is extremely professional in her preparation, performance and is a great role model to have around the locker room. At 26 years-of-age Lia has plenty of good football ahead of her.
“We’re looking forward to seeing Lia drive her teammates and herself to improve as we look to build on the foundations which we have established over the past two seasons.”
