PREVIEW

The final minute of regular time spelled the end of Victory’s chances in our round two clash against Western United after a strike from a corner saw Williams produce a massive save, of which the rebound was turned in by Keiwa Hieda.

The late goal proved to be the final blow of the match, resigning Victory to their second defeat of the season.

Looking ahead to the Original Rivalry, the team are eager to score their first points of the season as they continue to build.

Lia Privitelli has been named in this week’s extended squad and will be looking for her first minutes of the season.

Victory debuts are also on the horizon for Tori Hansen and Emily Gielnik as both have been named for the first time.

Adelaide United has started the season winless, recording a lone draw and will be no doubt looking to steal points at AAMI Park.
