Melbourne Victory adds rising stars to Women’s ranks

Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce that Jessica Young, Sienna Techera and Fiorina Iaria along with goalkeepers Payton Woodward and Chloe McKenzie have signed with the Club for the 2025/26 Ninja A-League season.

Having joined Victory in 2023, Jessica Young showed great development through the course of the 2024/25 season, making her senior debut in March.

Teammate Sienna Techera will be heading into her second season with our A-League Women’s squad having progressed through the Melbourne Victory A-League Women’s Pathway Program and having a tremendous impact in the NPLW with Box Hill United.

Joining Victory’s ranks in 2025, Fiorina Iaria is an exciting young winger who has made her mark on the NPLW with a breakout season playing for the Football Victoria Academy.

While Victory’s goalkeeping ranks have also welcomed new talent with Payton Woodward and Chloe McKenzie joining the senior team.

Woodward made a great impression in the NPL Victoria Women’s competition when she made her Australian debut with Brunswick Juventus FC. Originally from Fayetteville, Arkansas, the 25-year-old American showcased her talent with college stints at Villanova University and University of Portland.

Chloe McKenzie, meanwhile, has worked in the Victory youth pathways before tasting NPLW football with Box Hill United and now returning to the A-League Women’s squad.

“Sienna, Jessica, Chloe, Payton and Fiorina are talented footballers who have the opportunity to flourish in our expanded football programs moving into 2025/26 and beyond,” Victory Women’s Head Coach Hopkins said.

“They have the opportunity to continue to experience the professional environments and standards of our senior squad which is an important part of the continuing development of their careers. They are personalities that made great contributions to the change room and I look forward to seeing their progress into next season.”

With great potential and exciting professional football careers ahead of them, Melbourne Victory Director of Football John Didulica said the trio were perfect examples of the strong future of the Women’s Football Program.

“We will only see more and more talented young Victorians get an opportunity to pursue professional careers now that we can build a genuine pathway through the establishment of our NPLW program in 2026,” Didulica said.
