Melbourne Victory Football Club is offering talented and motivated young footballers the opportunity to impress the Club’s youth development coaches at a number of upcoming selection days.
Melbourne Victory’s Pre-Academy (PAC) coaches will be running open sessions over the next few weeks, providing an opportunity for young talented players to try out in order to gain entry into the Club’s youth system.
The Pre-Academy provides boys (U9 – U13) and girls (U9 – U14) a platform to enhance their skills alongside Victory’s technical coaches in a weekly training environment at one of six venues across metropolitan Melbourne.
The curriculum focuses on ball mastery and key technical components and is the key pathway into the youngest Academy team at Under-14 level.
“We want to provide opportunities to talented and motivated players across greater Melbourne through our Pre-Academy Centres,” said Victory’s Football Pathways Manager, Gareth Turnbull.
“The PAC focuses on the technical development through a comprehensive Club curriculum, delivered by qualified coaches, as we help prepare players for the next stage of development.”
Victory’s Pre-Academy sessions are held once per week at Point Cook, Hillside, Epping, East Doncaster, Maribyrnong and Keysborough.
