Melbourne VIctory is pleased to announce the re-signing of Roderick Miranda for the 2023/24 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
The Portuguese defender has signed on until the end of the 2024/25 season and enters his third season in Australia with Melbourne Victory.
The 32-year-old has made 43 A-League Men’s appearances since joining the Club in 2021, featuring at the core of Victory’s defence, and has been a part of the side’s leadership team over the past two seasons.
Melbourne Victory Director of Football, John Didulica said he was pleased to have Miranda sign on for another two seasons.
“Roderick has been a valued member of our squad since arriving in Melbourne and we’re delighted to have him continue with Melbourne Victory,” Didulica said.
“His quality and leadership has been at the centre of the A-League Men’s side over the past two seasons and he’ll form an important part of the very strong defensive unit we are assembling.
Miranda was also looking forward to extending his time in Melbourne.
“I’m thrilled to be able to continue my time at Melbourne Victory,” Miranda said.
“Melbourne is a new home for me. The city and the fans have welcomed me and my family with open arms and I’m looking forward to bringing more success to the Club.”

Miranda joins the signing of Adama Traore and Daniel Arzani and the elevation of Franco Lino, Joshua Inserra and Jordi Valadon to the senior squad for the 2023/24 season.
