Melbourne Victory School of Football and John Fawkner College Join Forces

Melbourne Victory is proud to announce a transformative partnership with John Fawkner College.

The Melbourne Victory School of Football, at John Fawkner College, in the heart of the northern suburbs, will launch in 2025 to girls and boys across Years 7-10.

A Melbourne Victory School of Football pilot program will commence at John Fawkner College in July 2024 for Years 9 and 10 and aims to increase student engagement, achievement, and attainment at school through football.

Melbourne Victory’s School of Football is modelled on elite development programs emphasising technical and personal development. Coaches will cater to each student’s level of development supported by small-sided game-sense play, drills, and tactical and game-situational practices.

Local primary schools Moomba Park Primary School, Fawkner Primary School, Belle Vue Park Primary School, Pascoe Vale North Primary School, and many more, will benefit from over thirty visits annually, as well as participating in gala days and competitions as part of the John Fawkner College and Melbourne Victory partnership.

Melbourne Victory School of Football students will gain access to John Fawkner College’s outstanding sporting facilities with access to two state-of-the-art full-sized pitches and the C.B. Smith Reserve Sport and Education Facility.

The Melbourne Victory School of Football at John Fawkner College will participate in training with Melbourne Victory coaches and play friendlies against other prominent football schools, including some from interstate and overseas.

The John Fawkner College and Melbourne Victory partnership will grow to incorporate a Performance School aimed at prospective talent pathway players and a Victory Football Hub.

Work is also underway with John Fawkner College to interact with the Afghan Women’s National Team on training, matches and wider school opportunities.
