Melbourne Victory sign Japanese attacker Charles Nduka

Melbourne Victory is delighted to announce the signing of Charles Nduka.

The Japanese striker, who was most recently attached to Japanese side Kagoshima United, has agreed terms for the remainder of the 2025/26 Isuzu UTE A-League season, starting from when the transfer window opens on Wednesday, January 14.

The 27-year-old joined Kagoshima in 2024, and across two seasons, recorded half a dozen assists and scored 10 goals, the first of which came against local rivals Roasso Kumamoto in the Hisatsu Derby.

Nduka has been identified through the work the Club is engaged in with world-renowned data and insights company, Jamestown Analytics, who also works closely with the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion in the English Premier League, Como 1907, Heart of Midlothian and Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.

Although typically deployed as a central striker, Nduka brings experience in various offensive positions.

Melbourne Victory A-League Men’s Head Coach, Arthur Diles, commented on the new arrival:

“I am really excited to be adding Charles to our attack at Victory, and we look forward to him quickly integrating with the group and making his mark in the A-League.

“He brings a different profile to our forward line, which both complements and bolsters the existing attacking options in our Men’s squad.”

Nduka spoke about his transfer to Victory:

“It is a real honour to be joining the Club and playing in the A-League for the first time in my career.

“Melbourne Victory has an amazing tradition of success. I am very excited to be a part of that, and I hope we can add to it this season, and I can contribute to driving success for the team.”
