Melbourne Victory is pleased to confirm the signing of Australian Keegan Jelacic from Belgian side KAA Gent until the end of the 2026/27 A-Leagues Season.
The 22-year-old midfielder made his A-Leagues debut for Brisbane Roar in 2021 before playing the 2022/23 A-Leagues season for Perth Glory, and then making the move across to Europe in 2023, joining KAA Gent.
Jelacic joins Melbourne Victory ahead of the 2025/26 Season to further strengthen the squad’s attacking quality.
Melbourne Victory Head Coach Arthur Diles said Jelacic was another example of outstanding young Australian talent with valuable experience both locally and internationally.
“Keegan’s arrival at the Club ahead of our 2025/26 campaign will bolster our midfield as we aim to go one better than we did last season,” Diles said.
“We have a strong foundation to build on, and we’re looking forward to seeing Keegan bring his best to the team and contribute to our success.”
Jelacic expressed his excitement at the move, saying it was an opportunity he was eager to seize.
“Joining one of the biggest clubs in the league is always an exciting prospect,” Jelacic said.
“I’m looking forward to experiencing the passion of the Club and doing my part on the pitch. I’m eager to bring success to Melbourne Victory and its members and fans.”
