Member Recognition Round: Brenton Ray

Member Recognition Round: Brenton Ray

In the lead-up to our Member Recognition Round game against Wellington Phoenix at AAMI Park this Friday night, we’re featuring stories on some of our most passionate members.

Today, we’re highlighting Victory member Brenton Ray.

How long have you been a Victory member?

Brenton: 15 years.

What is your favourite Melbourne Victory moment?

Brenton: 2018 A-League Grand Final against Newcastle Jets at McDonald Jones Stadium was celebrating with our fellow members and supporters at the live site at the Victory Room at Marvel Stadium with at least 5,000+ supporters if not more in the room. That was an absolutely unreal night, it was standing room only all the way as the atmosphere was on an absolute another level.

Why do you support Melbourne Victory?

Brenton: I have always been a loyal and passionate Melbourne Victory member since season three and long standing supporter with the club since the inception of the A-League.

I will always give absolutely everything in my own power to support the team on the field when they need it the most during the matches in particular late in matches when it’s needed.

If you could be in charge of Melbourne Victory for one day, what would you do?

Brenton: Win the dressing room and get the whole team to play as a whole team week in, week out.

Who is your favourite Victory player and why?

Brenton: My current Victory favourite players are Jake Brimmer, Leigh Broxham and Ivan Kelava as they’re passionate players who are always good to watch, especially in crucial games like against our arch enemies Adelaide United.

Who would you like to see playing for Melbourne Victory?

Brenton: Jackson Irvine.

Make sure you get down to AAMI Park this Friday night for our final home game of the season.

Every member who scans in goes into the draw to win 1-of-5 team signed jerseys.
