Men’s Match Report: Bruno’s Double Sets Up A Dominant Dorrien Gardens Performance

Victory clinical in 0-4 win over Perth Glory at Dorrien Gardens to conclude our pre-season tour of Western Australia.

Summary

Goals from Velupillay, Adams and a double from Fornaroli set up what was a dominant performance to end our pre-season tour of Western Australia.

Tony Popovic’s side came racing out of the blocks when Adama Traore found Bruno in a pocket of space in the box where the Socceroo striker flicked home the opener just five minutes into the match.

Victory controlled most of the possession for the first half with Miranda and Ryan Teague both hitting the woodwork shortly after Bruno’s opener as we looked to double our lead.

A second came quickly when Velupillay won a penalty after weaving his way into the box, Bruno rattling the back of the net from the spot.

Topping off a brilliant first-half performance, Nish poked home our third after another pinpoint cross into the box from Traore.

The second half brought a myriad of changes as the entire starting XI was replaced.

Jake Brimmer once again getting another run as he looks to build to round 1.

It was much of an arm wrestle for the second 45 as Glory looked to get one back.

Glory’s Kaelan Majekodunmi sent a header narrowly wide having climbed high before fellow-substitute Jacob Muir nodded against the bar.

After holding strong, a brilliant solo run and finish from Eli Adams saw us with a fourth and final goal of the match to end what was a dominant showing at Dorrien Gardens.
