Musky honoured by high-profile mates

On Saturday May 15th, 80 corporate guests paid $1,000 per head to attend the exclusive Kevin Muscat black tie Testimonial dinner, held within the Drawing Room of Crown.

On Saturday May 15th, 80 corporate guests paid $1,000 per head to attend the exclusive Kevin Muscat black tie Testimonial dinner, held within the Drawing Room of Crown.

To highlight Kevin-s phenomenal career, special tributes were put together by Ben Buckley CEO of the FFA, Victorian Sports Minister James Merlino, plus Sporting Icons including Carlton Footballer Chris Judd, Melbourne Storm Captain Cameron Smith, Ex Socceroos coach Frank Farina and former Socceroo John Kosmina.

Special guests also included Kevin-s former teammates, current Socceroo Craig Moore, Ex Socceroos Stan Lazaridis, Tony Popovic, Zeljko Kalac and former teammates Steve Corica, who told many stories about Kevin throughout his career.

A highlight of the evening was the surprise appearance of current Socceroo Harry Kewell and his Manager Bernard Mandic who also spoke about Kevin and the impact of his career on their lives.

Comedian Brooksy went through Kevin-s career with a highlighted version of Jimmy Barnes- ‘A working Class man- being Kevin Muscat.

Certainly a terrific night and a fitting tribute to a champion of the code who has no doubt played a vital part in the formation of Melbourne Victory.
